About the Introduction to ISO 15926

The ISO 15926 Primer started in the spring of 2008 as part of the FIATECH/POSC Caesar Association (PCA) Camelot and Avalon projects. It was finished in the fall of 2009.

Amid growing demand from the FIATECH membership for some introducuctory information about ISO 15926, FIATECH decided to publish it. A group of experts was gathered to review what had been written. With the development that had gone on in ISO 15926 it quickly became apparent that some of the Primer was out of date, and large parts of it were completely rewritten.

Since some of the material was out of date, the existing Primer on the PCA website (what you are reading now) will be removed. In its place will be the new Introduction to the book, and a summary of what ISO 15926 is.

Until then the original ISO 15926 Primer will still be available.
