About An Introduction to ISO 15926
The ISO 15926 Primer started in the spring of 2008 as part of the FIATECH/POSC Caesar Association (PCA) Camelot and Avalon projects.
With increased exposure at industry conferences, more organizations were (and still are) becoming interested in ISO 15926, generating many inquiries. But inquiries for introductory information can overwhelm the technical people who are the early adopters. The ISO 15926 Primer fills the gap by telling in simple terms what ISO 15926 is, why it is needed, where it comes from, how it works, and finally, some ideas for getting started.
The book was finished in the fall of 2009 on this website. Amid growing demand from the FIATECH membership for some introductory information about ISO 15926, FIATECH decided to publish it. A group of experts was gathered to review what had been written. With the development that had gone on in ISO 15926 it quickly became apparent that some of the Primer was out of date, and large parts of it were completely rewritten.
With the publication of the revised book by Fiatech, the old material has been removed. This PCA website now contains:
