Minutes of Meeting

1. Approval of agenda
Approved.

2. Approval of MoM from last meeting
Approved.

3. Update from ISO meeting in Paris
Updates to Part 4 was discussed at the ISO meeting in Paris in June. It is part of WG22 and will be one of the upcoming change requests to Part 4. A plan for the work is to be presented at the next ISO meeting in November. As a part of that plan PCA will take the spreadsheets and identify similarities and differences between these and the PCA RDL. The PCA RDL will be considered as the master. It is expected that an updated Part 4 should be available in spreadsheets as today. In addition to the spreadsheets, it should be proposed to have Part 4 available also as rdf files.

4. Template sets
We have several template sets:

  • Geometry (the Proteus 2 project intend to use these)
  • IIP
  • Hans´s set,
  • Part 7/8

The necessity of having one agreed set of templates was discussed. We agreed that for Template Signature Patterns (TSPs) and Template Information Pattern(s) it is not necessary to decide on one specific template set at the time being. It should be possible to have multiple mappings of the TSPs. TSPs/TIPs could also be used for mappings between different representations.

It is important that the MMT SIG understands the TIP mission: "The use case for TIP is to isolate subject matter experts away from the Part 7 type templates (all kinds - P7/8, Hans, IIP). Information modeller vs business users.
For the MMT, TSPs should be one of the next topics (broader concept than TIPs).

5. A.O.B
The July meeting will be canceled due to vacation. We will have our next meeting in August.
