13:00-13:30 Industry Content Standardization: Applying the IOHN Approach to Harmonization Across Domains by Johan W. Klüwer, DNV.

The IOHN project has worked on establishing methods and tools that make it easier for domain experts to contribute to the development and extension of ISO 15926 also known as the Oil and Gas Ontology. These tools and methods were primarly developed and used for the project internal work on the extensions required for the pilots in the drilling and production domains, but through POSC Caesar Association, these tools were also made available to other projects, with the big advantage of a harmonized development of the common ontology. This opens for interesting possibilities for data integration accross domains and disciplines.

13:30-14:00 Camelot project: Mutual benefits from sharing between projects by Robin Benjamins, Bechtel.

The Camelot project was a collaboration project with 14 participants and with a mission to create a set of open source software tools that implemented the full specification of ISO 15926 and deliver them to the industry for usage. The resulting concepts, specifications, software, and documentation are known as iRING. The Camelot project made use of the tools and methodologies developed through the IOHN project and in return also contributed its developments back to IOHN and the industry at large.

Robin Benjamins is Bechtel's Corporate Engineering Automation Manager with proven expertise managing the engineering application portfolio, interoperability, and data integration solutions. In his role, Benjamins is responsible for developing and implementing strategy for Bechtel's "Central Engineering and Technology" and "Information, Systems, and Technology" organizations. In addition to this role, Benjamins is a member of the POSC Caesar Association Board. Benjamins is an accomplished technologist, with 33 years of experience in the EPC industry, including 16 years providing technology solutions to internal and external customers. Over his career, he has established the valuable dual expertise of business processes combined with technological acumen. He led the effort to create Bechtel's standard, global interoperability solution that is now used worldwide. This system also incorporates the methodologies of the ISO15926 Standard. Benjamins is now leading the industry on the adoption of iRING as the de facto implementation strategy for ISO 15926.
