    166 Det Norske Veritas (DNV) is one of the three largest insurers in the world, along with Lloyd’s Register and the American Bureau of Shipping. It became interested in ISO 15926 as a result of assessing risk in shipping. A common way to describe physical facilities makes it easier to compare the facilities to common benchmarks. DNV has participated in some of the development work of ISO 15926 and has created its own RDS browser.
