 The Camelot approach, with underlaying iRING technology, is to make each piece of data smarter so that it knows what it is.  For instance, the value for "Maximum Allowable Working Pressure" will  appear to travel directly from the appropriate box in a data sheet in one system to the appropriate box in the data sheet in another system, all in real time if you want it to.
